I) Christiane Taubira ayant renoncé à la course à la Présidentielle, je n'avais plus d'intérêt à demander une nouvelle carte d'electeur. Mais les dernières attaques de Sarkozy contre le jeu en ligne ont changé la donne.

Je vais voter pour un candidat qui 1) défend les libertés individuelles et qui 2) est favorable à l'abandon du monopole de l' Etat sur les jeux.

Pour l'instant, le gagnant est Edouard Fillias pour Alternative Liberale, qui a l'avantage d'être plus libertarien que libéral.


Libertarian or Anarchist?

Libertarians are often accused of being anarchists or asked what the difference is between a libertarian and an anarchist. The popular image of anarchy is unrestrained violence and looting. Libertarians take a stronger stand against violence and looting than any other political group including republicans and democrats. The early history of the United States with its severely limited government was strongly libertarian and completely different from this image of anarchy.

The misunderstanding on this issue comes from the ideal state of peace and productivity with no government interference imagined by many libertarians who forget that we are the only ones who can imagine it. In a libertarian society the evolution of voluntary institutions providing the few remaining government services might lead to the gradual elimination of government but this scenario is completely beyond the imagination of the general public and it harms our cause to confront them with such a startling vision.

III) Comme mon exemplaire de "Real Poker - The Cooke Collection" est en très mauvais état, j'ai fait l'acquisition d'un exemplaire supplémentaire du livre de Roy Cooke sur ebay. Les enchères se sont terminées à près de $65, c'est un peu cher mais le livre est introuvable depuis plusieurs années.

De retour à la maison, mon résultat de novembre à repris quelques couleurs grâce à quelques bonnes sessions de razz même si le résultat aurait pu être meilleur avec un peu moins de bad beat en tournois. Avec H et S, nous avions créé un pot commun pour participer aux FTOPSs, mais l'investissement ne s'est pas avéré très rentable et ma table finale dans le tournoi de razz du soir et une place dans le top 20 du 18K n'y changeront rien.

Avant la fin de la semaine, je vais participer à 2 tournois des FTOPs : le HORSE et le Razz et probablement continuer quelques incursions aux hautes limites en razz où le niveau n'est pas particulièrement élevé :
